The "Evening with the Stars" banquet will be held on May 4th at 6:30pm at Receptions in Florence. It is a banquet that is meant to honor student involvement and achievement. If you know of a student who has been a state or national winner in an organized, competitive group, please download the application form to be included in this event! Some groups to consider are: Academics, cheerleading, dance team, gymnastics, Duke Talent Search, Odyssey of the Mind, Speech/Drama, Equestrian, Band, Art, Music, Theater, Reflections, Bluegrass Games, Chorus, Technology and Team Sports. This would also include students who have been published in a state or national magazine. After-school tutoring is now available at Ockerman on Tuesdays and Thursday from 2:45 - 3:30pm. Administering Medicine at School:
Students who require medicine to be administered at school must have a form on file with the school. For instructions on what the requirements and procedures for administering medication at school, click here. To download and print the permission form, click here.
Immunization Requirements:
If you are unsure of what requirements we have for immunizations, click here to see Boone County's list of required shots by grade level.
We are always accepting Box Tops, so keep them coming! Any student wanting to turn them in should bring them to their homeroom teacher, who will pass them along to the PTSA.

Dedicated in 1965, Ockerman Middle School has a history that is longer than any of the other middle schools in Boone County. We received a total remodel in 2005 with the addition of a new gymnasium, science wing, and computer labs. Our 47 member faculty provides daily instruction for approximately 750 students. Our middle schoolers attend Boone County HS, Larry A. Ryle HS, and Randall C. Cooper HS. We are glad you've chosen to visit us. Welcome!
